IRS Extends Deadline for Texas to June 15th.

Writer's picture: Amy FrenzelAmy Frenzel

Because of the power crisis and resulting effects from the February winter storm, the IRS has given Texas residents a special filing deadline of June 15th. This applies to federal individual, business, non-profit, and fiduciary returns, as well as estimated tax payments and Texas Franchise Tax.

Returns filed after June 15th will still need to file for an extension to avoid interest and penalties. If you would like to file on time this year, please make sure we have all your documents prior to June 1st.
